Featured Art Workshops/Tours/Retreats
Art Safari is a UK based tour operator (ATOL 9916) but it’s so much more than a travel company – we design trips of a lifetime for artists.
On joining an Art Safari, you are also on your own artistic journey, and there’s space for all artistic styles. Within the Art Safari family you quickly feel comfortable and happy wherever we settle down to paint.
We run painting holidays and art workshops around the world – we’ve run tours in more than 35 countries and have 12 tutors with different specialisms.
An Art Safari allows people time to sketch and paint, talk about art with fellow travelers and to take in any tips and hints given by the tutor.
Art Safari was established in 2003 by UK artist Mary-Anne Bartlett.
The Retreat is a small art school in the heart of Italy’s beautiful Le Marche Region specialising in exclusive painting holidays with a truly personal touch. Small groups and a ‘home-from-home’ atmosphere let any aspiring and experienced artist relax, indulge and create to their heart’s content.
The Retreat runs a variety of painting holidays and retreats around Italy each year. Landscape and Studio based Painting Workshops run at our Guesthouse and Studio 'The Retreat' in the countryside of Italy's beautiful Le Marche region. From here, we offer painting retreats, painting retreats with cooking or Yoga classes, as well as seasonal truffle hunting experiences.
Tuscan Renaissance Academy
We are artists, architects and geometers immersed in the culture of the Renaissance. We study the lessons of the past to shape the future. Combining the disciplines of painting, sculpture and architecture through the medium of disegno—meaning both drawing and design—we embody the skills we teach.
Our courses will introduce you to the materials and techniques of the Renaissance, in Tuscany, where it all began. Our combination of drawing and fresco painting distills the essence of Renaissance accomplishment.
Workshops In France
These Château Retreats and Workshops in the South of France and Scotland are organized by WorkshopsInFrance.
We have a mission to bring artists together from all parts of the world to wonderful destinations where they become inspired by their surroundings and the creativity that comes from working in small enrichment groups. These retreats are designed to give our guests an ideal environment for making art while enjoying themselves to the fullest following a tradition of artists traveling and living together.
We offer these experiences in France and Scotland. The South of France was selected for the fantastic weather, sensational scenery, the rich tapestry of historical towns, villages and at times the Mediterranean, not to mention the cuisine and wines of one of France’s most abundant regions. And, our Scottish destination is held in Outlander country, north of Edinburgh where our accommodations are in the house owned by Princess Diana’s family.
